we are the comptons. we use this blog to keep in touch with our family and friends and as a family scrapbook of sorts.
on march 3, 2007, our son, ryan, was diagnosed with leukemia, at the age of 22 months. since then, our blog took on more importance in keeping friends & family updated and as a chronicle of our journey in nursing ryan back to health.
the type of leukemia that ryan was diagnosed is "A.L.L." (pre-b standard risk-high, slow early responder). he has been in remission since april 2007, has completed his year of aggressive, augmented chemo, and is now on maintenance therapy. his maintenance chemo ends in july of 2010.
